AS Saint-Étienne have signed 20-year-old goalkeeper Mamour Ndiaye from Sarpsborg in Norway. The club said in a statement that the move was made official on Friday.

He joins after Brice Maubleu left for Pau, and Saint-Étienne have already added Sohaib Naïr from Guingamp and Jakob Breum from Go Ahead Eagles. Ndiaye had been Sarpsborg’s first-choice since the 2025 season and will wear number one at ASSE.

Born in Dakar, he came through the Oslo Football Académie in his home city, an institution created through links with Norwegian football. The academy is noted for helping develop Krépin Diatta, now at Monaco.

Ndiaye regards Saint-Étienne as a historic club and is eager to make his first steps in Green. His command of French should ease his adaptation and he wants to meet the club’s supporters. He is ready to do everything to defend the colours.

Ndiaye joins as the number two with the aim of pushing Gautier Larsonneur, in a plan set out by sporting director Loïc Perrin. He is viewed as a young goalkeeper with room for improvement who can also benefit from the senior man’s experience.
