Mohamed Salah has scored the first Merseyside derby goal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium with the opener in Sunday afternoon's Premier League clash.
The Reds are on the hunt for Champions League qualification next season but their hopes appeared to take a hit when Iliman Ndiaye thought he'd fired the Toffees in front in the first half.
Following VAR intervention, the goal was ruled out for offside and minutes later, a lapse in concentration at the back then gifted Liverpool the lead instead.

Cody Gakpo picked up a loose pass and picked out Salah's run with a clever through ball, to which the Egyptian then cooly slotted it beyond Jordan Pickford to send the away end into absolute bedlam.
Salah has now drawn level with former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard as the joint record scorer against Everton in the modern Premier League era.
As Salah is set to depart at the end of the season, could this be the perfect parting gift? Or will Everton find a way back into this?
