Arsenal locked horns with Manchester City at Wembley Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a win in the EFL Cup final. The Gunners made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.

The North London club conceded the opener at the hour mark when Nico O’Reilly got his name on the scoresheet. O’Reilly struck again just four minutes later as Mikel Arteta’s men crashed to a poor 2-0 loss in the final.

He made a costly error that led to O’Reilly’s opener and failed to make a save this evening.

RB: Ben White – 6/10

White performed his defensive duties well, but lacked quality going forward.

CB: William Saliba – 7/10

He put his foot through the ball when he could and was strong in the air.

CB: Gabriel – 6.5/10

Gabriel didn’t do much wrong defensively, but would be disappointed after allowing two goals in the second half.

LB: Piero Hincapie – 5.5/10

He came back to defend when he could, but failed to impress going forward.

CM: Martin Zubimendi – 6.5/10

Zubimendi worked hard in the middle of the park but struggled to make an impact in the final third.

CM: Declan Rice – 6.5/10

He anchored the midfield well at times and made two decent chances from midfield.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 6/10

Saka was not shy of having a strike at goal, but never looked like he would get his name on the scoresheet.

CAM: Kai Havertz – 6/10

He failed to shine during his time on the pitch and was replaced after the hour mark.

LW: Leandro Trossard – 6/10

Trossard made one good chance in the final third but failed to threaten the Man City goal.

ST: Viktor Gyokeres – 6/10

He was quiet for most of his time on the field.
