Sam Larsson double secures Karagümrük rise

Fatih Karagümrük beat Alanyaspor 2-1 on Saturday at the Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadı to climb from 18th to 16th, sealed by Sam Larsson's double as the hosts closed with a third straight Süper Lig win.
Mechak Elia put Alanyaspor ahead in the 32nd minute, finding the high centre from range after Florent Hadergjonaj's pass.
After the restart, Sam Larsson levelled for Karagümrük from the centre of the box (47.), sliding onto Baris Kalaycı's through ball.
Shavy Babicka then won a penalty (67.). VAR confirmed the spot kick and Larsson converted into the high centre (72.).
Furkan Beklevic made key stops to keep Karagümrük in front, denying Maestro and Hwang Ui-jo. Paulo Victor also saved well from Ricardo Esgaio during a lively spell at 63 minutes.
Karagümrük registered eight attempts, four on target. Alanyaspor finished with 11 attempts and the larger share of possession.
Alanyaspor remain 11th in the table.
