Sam Vokes, the former Wolves striker who helped win promotion at Molineux, has announced his intention to retire at the end of the season.
The player said in a post that, 20 years after his debut and 750 appearances, including 64 for Wales, Saturday's match for Gillingham will be his last.
Vokes joined Wolves in 2008 and contributed to their promotion to the Premier League. He made a handful of top-flight outings while spending long spells out on loan.
He later moved to Burnley, where he spent seven seasons and played a key role in establishing the Clarets in the Premier League.
In recent years he has featured for Stoke City and Wycombe Wanderers, then signed for Gillingham this season.
On the international stage he was part of Wales' run to the Euro 2016 semi-finals, a campaign in which he played a prominent role.
