Sandry has been absent from Criciúma’s daily routine for one month, according to Globo.com. The midfielder is owned by Santos and is on loan to the Santa Catarina club for the 2026 season.
He has made 11 appearances this season and last played on 7 March, a 3-2 win over Camboriú. He informed Santos of personal problems at the end of April.
He did not attend training on 29 April under head coach Eduardo Baptista. Since then, Criciúma, Santos and the player have been awaiting a resolution.
Criciúma executive Thiago Gasparino said Sandry remains under a valid inter-club loan agreement and that the player asked to step away for unspecified personal reasons. He added the club has been notifying both the player and Santos each day about his absence from routine activities.
Gasparino said they are now waiting to see what Santos intends to do. He noted the days missed are being discounted in line with the agreement between the clubs and the player.
