Santos allow Zé Ivaldo to finalise loan move to Remo | OneFootball

Santos have allowed defender Zé Ivaldo to finalise a loan move to Remo, with the deal expected to run until the end of the season.

According to Globo.com, the centre-back had been seeking a new club and was training away from the main group at CT Rei Pelé, having fallen out of coach Cuca’s plans for the second half of the year.

He is expected to travel in the coming days to settle remaining formalities and be presented by the Pará club. The CBF has opened an exceptional domestic transfer window from Thursday to 17 July, during which only players currently playing in the country can be registered. The international mid-season window opens on 20 July.

That timetable means Zé Ivaldo should be cleared to debut for Remo when the season resumes. Remo are due back on 23 at 19:30, Brasília time, against Corinthians in São Paulo. Santos play on 16 at 19:30 against Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro.

Signed by Santos until 2026, Zé Ivaldo has slipped down the pecking order this year. He has made 12 appearances across the Paulistão and Campeonato Brasileiro.
