Santos and Tiquinho Soares failed to reach an amicable termination, and both sides are now working on a loan. The forward asked to leave and was prepared to give up nearly half of what he was due, but the board wanted more.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Coritiba are the expected destination, although other Brazilian clubs are monitoring him. He is registered for the Paulistão but has not featured in the first four rounds while recovering from a calf oedema. He has been training indoors and has lost the number nine shirt to Gabigol.
