Santos appoint Cuca as head coach on deal until 2026 | OneFootball

Santos have appointed Cuca as head coach on a contract running to the end of 2026.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the veteran returns for a fourth stint, having last led the club to the Copa Libertadores final, where they lost to Palmeiras at the Maracanã.

He replaces Juan Pablo Vojvoda, who was dismissed after Wednesday night’s 2-1 defeat to Internacional at Vila Belmiro in the seventh round of the Brasileirão 2026.

The result left the Peixe 16th in the table with six points.

Cuca arrives with assistant Cuquinha and fitness coach Omar Feitosa.

Curitiba-born Alexi Stival, 62, has previously taken charge of the Alvinegro Praiano in 2008, 2018 and 2020-2021.
