Santos appoint Ubaldo Cordeiro da Silva to complete youth recruitment department | OneFootball

Santos have named Ubaldo Cordeiro da Silva as a technical scout, completing the club's youth recruitment department. According to Diario Do Peixe, he joined in May and will work alongside coordinator Carlos Anunciação.

The scouting team also features Balu Reis, Nenê Belarmino, Essinho Valente and Josias Oliveira.

Cordeiro graduated in Physical Education from Uniderp, and holds the CBF B licence plus FPF youth management certification.

He served as technical coordinator at Osvaldo Cruz, contributing to the Paulista Sub-20 A-2 campaign. He then held the same role at Estanciano from December 2016 to 2018, taking part in the Copinha in 2017 and 2018 and the Copa do Nordeste Sub-20.

He became executive director of football at Setembro, featuring in the Pernambucano A-2. Later at Olímpico in Pernambuco, he was Under-18 coach and first-team performance analyst, securing promotion in the Sergipano A-2 and winning the Sergipano Under-18 in 2017.

Cordeiro was youth technical coordinator at Icasa in Ceará between January 2019 and 2020, then worked at Sabiá in 2022. He served as Cruzeiro's head scout in Pernambuco from August 2024 to November 2025, before a three-month stint leading Cianorte's academy earlier this year ahead of his move to Santos.
