Santos extend Gustavo Henrique contract to 2030 | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos have extended midfielder Gustavo Henrique’s contract until the end of 2030, with the deal signed on Friday 17 in the presence of president Marcelo Teixeira. The club moved quickly after positive assessments and reached a swift agreement with his representatives. He had already extended a deal last year to January 2028.

Santos view him as a key part of their midfield, with Cuca’s staff approving. He was also valued by former coach Vojvoda and remains in the new manager’s plans.

After his final Copinha in January, where he played five games, he moved up after ageing out of the youth ranks. He debuted off the bench in the 2-1 win over Novorizontino at Vila Belmiro on 10 January, the Paulistão opener.

Since then he has featured in five Brasileirão matches as a starter, along with two outings in the Copa Sudamericana. In his academy days he also filled in at right-back.

Wearing number 48, Gustavo said he grew up at the club, feels grateful to reach the first team and is highly motivated. He added that he wants to win trophies, make the fans happy and will always give his all.

President Teixeira praised his dedication, saying he earned a first-team place through hard work and can help with the challenges ahead. He began at Independente, had a spell at Corinthians, and has been at Santos for eight years.
