Santos in talks to use Neo Química Arena for Coritiba match | OneFootball

Santos are in talks with Corinthians to stage their round 16 Campeonato Brasileiro match against Coritiba at Neo Química Arena on 17 May at 11:00. According to Diario Do Peixe, the club have also opened dialogue with the CBF to move the fixture from Vila Belmiro to São Paulo.

The option has gathered pace because the stadium is free that day, as Corinthians will be away to Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro. A cordial relationship between the clubs is easing negotiations.

Playing selected home games in São Paulo forms part of the club’s plan. Even so, the schedule was adjusted after a request from head coach Cuca, who prefers to start at Vila Belmiro. The board therefore targeted May rather than April for any switch of venue.

Before then, Santos will have a run of home fixtures on the Baixada Santista. After trips to Flamengo and Deportivo Cuenca, they play four in a row at Vila Belmiro, facing Recoleta in the Sudamericana, Atlético-MG and Fluminense in the league, and Coritiba in the Copa do Brasil.

Santos have already played once in the capital in 2026, drawing 0-0 with Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena in the opening phase of the Campeonato Paulista.
