Santos have left Zé Ivaldo, Mayke, Tomás Rincón and Zé Rafael out of their plans as the squad returns to CT Rei Pelé on Monday 22 after 21 days off. The restart begins roughly a month of work before the next official fixture, the longest block since Cuca arrived.

Neymar is the only absence on World Cup duty, while the quartet will not train with the main group. According to Diario Do Peixe, the club are working to finalise their exits.

Zé Ivaldo was bought in early 2026 after meeting appearance targets on loan from Cruzeiro, for one million dollars, with a contract to December 2028. In February 2026 he conceded three penalties in quick succession, then lost his place under Cuca.

Mayke joined permanently in July 2025 from Palmeiras, with a contract to the end of 2027. Right knee pain and a procedure in March limited him, and in 2026 he played eight matches, losing the starting spot to Igor Vinícius.

Tomás Rincón has been at the club since 2023, making 79 appearances and scoring two goals. After relegation in 2025 he accepted a pay cut and extended his deal to December 2026. This season he played three times and was not used regularly.

Zé Rafael arrived in February 2025 from Palmeiras and played 41 games, with two goals and one assist. In May 2026 he asked to train separately and is negotiating a termination of a deal running to 2027.
