Santos name squad to face Red Bull Bragantino with injuries and academy duo back | OneFootball

Santos have announced their squad to face Red Bull Bragantino, with several absences offset by two academy recalls.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the 15th-round Campeonato Brasileiro match is on Sunday at 18:30 Brasília time at Vila Belmiro.

Right-back Mayke remains sidelined with a virus after missing recent matches. Thaciano is also out. The attacking midfielder suffered a right thigh muscle injury after the Copa Sul-Americana match against Recoleta and has begun physiotherapy. Midfielder Gustavo Henrique continues his recovery from a left adductor problem and is not included.

Gabriel Menino and Lautaro Díaz remain in physical transition and are yet to be cleared to return. Both took part in portions of recent on-pitch sessions, but stay under the fitness staff's supervision.

There is some relief with academy products back in the group. Left-back Rafael Gonzaga and midfielder Samuel Pierri are named in the senior squad.

Santos arrive under pressure after seven consecutive matches without a win this season. In the league they sit 16th on 15 points, level with Corinthians, who occupy the first spot inside the relegation zone.
