Santos have put together their longest unbeaten run of the season across three competitions.
According to Diario Do Peixe, head coach Cuca joked in his press conference that the team had gone from seven without a win to six unbeaten.
The sequence began after a home loss to Fluminense in late April, followed by draws with Coritiba in the Copa do Brasil, Bahia in the Brasileiro, San Lorenzo in the Sul-Americana, Palmeiras in the Brasileiro and Recoleta in the Sul-Americana.
The team then returned to winning ways against Red Bull Bragantino in the Brasileiro at Vila Belmiro, taking eight points from the sequence for a 44% return.
The current run matches the club’s late-2025 sequence under former coach Vojvoda, when four wins and two draws delivered 14 points at a 77% rate, all in the Brasileiro, including victory over Palmeiras, draws with Mirassol and Internacional, and wins against Sport, Juventude and Cruzeiro.
Santos’ last longer unbeaten spell was 10 matches in 2024 in Série B, spanning June to August, with results against Goiás, Mirassol, Chapecoense, Ceará, Ituano, Vila Nova, Coritiba, CRB, Sport and Paysandu before defeat to Avaí.
