João Odair de Souza, known as Caveira, will answer a charge of misappropriation. Ex-finance chiefs Matías Ávila and Wesley Melo, plus former finance manager Roberto Gavioli, are accused of criminally relevant omission for allegedly failing to oversee payments and demand proper accounts.

The court ordered precautionary measures, seizing passports and freezing assets of all four. They are also barred from the Parque São Jorge complex.

Prosecutors allege advances were paid to Caveira without adequate documentation to prove their destination. They also seek to recover losses for Corinthians, with Ávila facing a possible bill of about R$ six million and Melo around R$ 250,000.

Sanchez and Duilio Monteiro Alves have not been charged in this case, though both remain under investigation and face separate proceedings over alleged misuse of the club's corporate card.

In responses, Gavioli insisted on his innocence and said he trusts the courts. Caveira said he has nothing to hide and denied stealing. Ávila called the case politically motivated, while Melo offered no comment.
