Tottenham Hotspur will lock horns with Monaco at the Stade Louis II this Wednesday night as they look to secure a victory on the road in the UEFA Champions League. Spurs suffered a tough 2-1 loss away at Nottingham Forest recently, so they would be keen on getting back to winning ways in midweek.

Thomas Frank will once again set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make some changes to his first team for this game. Pape Matar Sarr, Lucas Bergvall and Richarlison could all play from the start of this contest.

4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face Monaco

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will function in between the sticks for the North London club after conceding two goals in his last outing. Kevin Danso will play alongside Micky van de Ven at the centre of Frank’s backline as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the game.

Pedro Porro will fill in as the right-back, while Djed Spence hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Both Cristhian Romero and Destiny Udogie will be sidelined for this game because of injuries. Jun’ai Byfield will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Lucas Bergvall and Rodrigo Bentancur will operate as the holding midfielders for Tottenham as they try to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Xavi Simons, Pape Matar Sarr and Brennan Johnson will play just ahead of them as part of Frank’s attack. Both Simons and Johnson will look to go in behind the Monaco defence at every chance they get.

Joao Palhinha, Mohammed Kudus and Wilson Odobert will be named on the bench as they await their chance to influence the game in the second half if needed.

Attack

Richarlison will spearhead Tottenham’s attack up top. He would be eager to find the back of the net versus Monaco this week.

Mathys Tel will drop to the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if Spurs are in need of a goal by then.
