Sassuolo ready to win Bowie transfer battle with Cagliari, Bologna and Celtic | OneFootball

Sassuolo are ready to beat Cagliari, Bologna and Celtic in the race to sign Hellas Verona and Scotland striker Kieron Bowie, in a deal that could have Samuele Mulattieri go the other way.

The asking price is believed to be €9-10m plus add-ons and a decisive meeting is scheduled for Tuesday to get the final details over the line.

Bowie eager to stay in Serie A

Verona signed Bowie from Hibernian in January 2026 for €6m and he made a very strong impression, even if he was unable to prevent their relegation to Serie B.

He scored four goals with one assist in 14 appearances for the club, and is eager to remain in the Italian top flight.

Bologna and Celtic have also been linked with Bowie, but he seems destined to continue his Italian career after just six months.

An ace up Sassuolo’s sleeve could be represented by Mulattieri, the 25-year-old centre-forward appreciated by Verona and who could make the move to the Stadio Bentegodi.

A product of the Inter youth academy, he was sold to Sassuolo in 2023 for €5.3m and spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna.
