Saud Abdulhamid joins Lens permanently after AS Roma loan | OneFootball

Saud Abdulhamid is staying at RC Lens, the club having activated a permanent deal after his loan from AS Roma. The 26-year-old has signed a contract through to 2029.

Lens, last season’s Ligue 1 runners-up, have confirmed their first signing of the window. According to L'Équipe, the transfer is worth about €3.5m.

Abdulhamid forced his way ahead of Ruben Aguilar over the campaign and made 25 Ligue 1 appearances, including 14 starts, scoring two goals.

He was a key figure in the run that ended with the Coupe de France title and he also supplied eight assists across the season.

He is set to play at the World Cup with Saudi Arabia, scheduled from 11 June to 19 July.
