Liverpool star Mohamed Salah remains firmly on the radar of Saudi Pro League (SPL) clubs despite his recent drop in form.
The Egyptian rejected a lucrative move to the Middle East to sign a two-year contract extension at Anfield in April.
However, Saudi clubs remain committed to signing him at some point. Al-Hilal are the leading contenders for the forward, but Al-Qadsiah have also expressed interest.
Salah scored 29 goals in 38 league games to fire Liverpool to their second Premier League title last season.
But he has failed to make a similar impact for his team this campaign, netting just four times in 12 top-flight appearances.
Former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney called on Arne Slot to drop the Egypt international due to his lack of defensive work.
Slot made that bold decision against West Ham United last weekend, and was immediately rewarded with a 2-0 victory, courtesy of goals from Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo.
The forward may be restored to the starting XI when the Reds welcome Sunderland to Anfield on Wednesday.
Salah has been a top performer for Liverpool, bagging 250 goals and 116 assists in 419 appearances across all competitions.
But he hasn’t been his usual self this season, and his time at the club may be coming to an end.
