Scaloni adds two to Argentina squad for March friendlies | OneFootball

The Argentine Football Association announced on X that Franco Mastantuono and Joaquín Panichelli have been added to the Argentina squad for the late March FIFA window.

Argentina face Mauritania on 27 March and Zambia on 31 March, both at Boca Juniors' La Bombonera, as World Cup warm-ups.

Mastantuono is a Real Madrid midfielder and Panichelli is a Racing Strasbourg forward. Both are in contention for the two fixtures.

Panichelli has played only four minutes for the national team, coming on in the 86th minute of the 2-0 friendly win over Angola on 13 November last year.

The former River player has featured in competitive action. He debuted against Chile in a 1-0 World Cup qualifier, entering in the 84th minute, did the same in a 1-0 defeat to Ecuador, then started a 3-0 win over Venezuela.
