Schalke 04 have lodged an offer for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Junior Dina Ebimbe, stepping up their pursuit after the collapse of a move for Jesper Lindstrøm. The proposal went in on Monday.
According to Sky Germany, the newly promoted side are seeking a permanent deal and the 25-year-old could sign to 2028 with an option, and is open to the switch. Absolut Fußball reports a possible €1.3m fee plus bonuses.
Interest first surfaced earlier in the summer before receding during other transfer work. Attention has now returned to Dina Ebimbe.
He is in the final year of his Frankfurt contract, leaving Eintracht with limited leverage if they wish to cash in.
A former Paris Saint-Germain academy player, he can operate as an attacking or box-to-box midfielder, on either flank, and as a wing-back.
Dina Ebimbe joined Eintracht on loan in 2022, then signed permanently for €6.5m in 2023. He has 15 goals and eight assists in 85 competitive games.
He hit 10 goals in 2023/24 but later fell out of favour under Dino Toppmöller. A proposed January 2025 loan to Monaco collapsed after medical concerns, and he was then left out of the Europa League squad.
He spent 2025/26 on loan at Stade Brest, making 27 Ligue 1 appearances and scoring five, with Brest not exercising a reported €7m option.
Schalke must now gauge Frankfurt’s readiness to approve a cut-price sale, with the player’s contract and willingness to move likely to aid talks.
