Schalke ‘make loan offer’ for Raux-Yao as Lens show interest | OneFootball

Schalke have added Rapid Wien defender Serge-Philippe Raux-Yao to their shortlist.

According to Fussballtransfers, the newly promoted club made an initial loan bid with a €4 million option to buy, which Rapid rejected, and the Austrian side prefer a permanent sale.

Champions League participants RC Lens are also interested in the 1.97m tall centre-back.

The Frenchman, 27, has played in 58 Austrian Bundesliga matches since leaving Ligue 2 side Rodez on a free transfer.

He was ever present as Rapid reached the Conference League quarter-final in the 2024/25 season.

Schalke have prioritised strengthening at centre-back ahead of their Bundesliga return.
