Scotland kept their push for the 2026 World Cup ticking along with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Belarus on a slightly strange night in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary.
The first half was fairly lifeless, but the deadlock was broken just before the break. A link-up between John McGinn and Scott McTominay set up Che Adams, with McTominay nodding McGinn’s delivery into his path for a tidy finish.
The second came midway through the second half, when Belarus defender Zakhar Volkov got it badly wrong and headed past his own keeper from a cross.
That result leaves Scotland on four points from two games in Group C, the same as Denmark, who eased to a 3-0 win in Greece.
