Scotland Women lose 1-0 in Austria | OneFootball

Scotland lost their UEFA Women’s Nations League opener against Austria in a group that also includes Germany and Netherlands.

Lilli Purtscheller fired Austria ahead and a further blow to Scotland was the early loss of Sophie Howard to injury.

Kirsty Hanson was denied an equaliser by a reflex save from Manuela Zinsberger and Scotland began the second half well before fading.

Goalkeeper Lee Gibson was dispossessed but Sam Kerr got back to make a crucial tackle and keep Scotland in the match.

Scotland are back in action on Tuesday when they host the Netherlands at Hampden Park, for which tickets are available here.
