Sebastian Kehl will not be joining Tottenham Hotspur, with discussions over a role at the London club ending without agreement.

Bild reports that negotiations with the former Borussia Dortmund chief ran for weeks but failed to align on the club’s strategic direction.

This does not rule out Kehl taking a position elsewhere for the 2026-27 season.

He is in talks with other top international clubs, the report said, although none were named.

Tottenham had explored bringing Kehl into their set-up, but that possibility has now been closed.
