Semi-automated offside will return and the referee will be mic'd, as the federation continues its technology trials for the Coupe de France final between Lens and Nice on Friday at 21:00.
The refereeing department confirmed on Thursday that the system will be used at the Stade de France, with a dozen cameras tracking the 22 players and the ball in real time.
The tool was trialled in the 2024 final, when PSG beat OL 2-1, and has been deployed at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and at Euro 2024.
It gives the video officials quicker, more accurate offside detections, aiming to cut the lengthy VAR checks that often slow major matches.
The FFF will also extend its communication experiment. As last year, Jérôme Brisard will wear a microphone to explain decisions reached after VAR interventions to those in the stadium and to television viewers.
