Sérgio Conceição marked FC Porto’s 133rd anniversary with a congratulatory message on Instagram.

According to O Jogo, the former player and coach shared the club’s post marking the date and wrote: “Parabéns, FC Porto!”

On Monday morning at Gate 1 of Estádio do Dragão, the club held its traditional flag-raising to the anthem. André Villas-Boas laid two wreaths by the busts of Rui Filipe and Pavão, extending the tribute to deceased members, players, coaches and officials.

The commemorations then moved to Dragão Arena, where the president remembered Alfredo Quintana and placed a wreath in honour of the handball player, who died in 2021.

Reflecting on 133 years of history, Villas-Boas said it was an immense joy, another year in the club’s life after a victorious season. He added that they wish the campaign now beginning to be successful as well.
