Sevilla’s transfer plan has entered a deep reset, with departures central to the summer. The recruitment team led by José Ignacio Navarro accept the need for a major sale to balance the books and fund reinforcements, and Akor Adams has emerged as the leading candidate while a solution is sought for Rafa Mir.

According to ABC de Sevilla, several mid-table Serie A clubs have placed the Nigeria striker among their priorities for this summer. Sevilla have been offering him across Europe to spark a bidding contest, yet Italy is viewed as the most likely source of proposals.

Much of Sevilla’s planning now hinges on selling the African international, whose stock has risen in recent months. After a key role with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations and 10 goals for Sevilla, he finished the campaign on 16 official strikes.

His market valuation has climbed to 15 million euros, the highest of his career, a figure Sevilla do not intend to cut.

Meanwhile, Mir returns from his loan at Elche facing a complex scenario. He has been sentenced to 8.5 years in prison for sexual assault in a ruling that is not yet final. He is due to report for pre-season on six July, something the club aim to avoid, and he is also out of their sporting plans.

A unilateral dismissal is ruled out due to the cost of his severance. Sevilla are seeking an overseas move, with Mexico or Saudi Arabia considered the preferred destinations. The outcome of these two cases will shape their next steps in the window.
