Barcelona’s main objective for next summer appears to be to sign a number nine, and that likely heralds the end of Robert Lewandowski’s time at the club. The Polish forward, who will turn 38 next August, is out of contract next year.
All of the talk from the Catalan capital is that both Barcelona and Lewandowski are aware that it is his final year at the club, and it seems he will move on. The Blaugrana meanwhile are still on the hunt for targets.
His next destination could be Serie A. According to Luca Cohen, as reported by Sport, Milan Sporting Director Igli Tare has held talk talks with Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi. Tare was enquiring over whether he would be interested in a move to Serie A.

It is not yet clear what his intentions are next season, but for multiple summers Lewandowski has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. The league are willing to pay him a huge salary for a two-year contract, and lend his star power to a league already containing Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite his age, Lewandowski still remains arguably the most lethal goalscorer in La Liga outside of Kylian Mbappe. The last two seasons have seen him struggle to look as sharp in the second half of the year, but looking refreshed under Hansi Flick, Lewandowski grabbed 42 goals last season, and was still the starter for Barcelona. This year he already has four goals, despite being restricted to cameos off the bench during the first three weeks of the season. He has however been splitting minutes with Ferrsn Torres, who has equally been in excellent form so far this season.
