Welcome to the Football Italia Liveblog for coverage of Monday’s Serie A matches: Bologna vs. Lazio and Roma vs. Fiorentina!

These are the final two matches of the 2026-27 opening weekend.

A three-goal victory is required to join Inter at the top of the Serie A standings at the end of the first week, a four-goal victory is required to stand alone in first place. Only one of the eight Serie A matches that have been played so far this weekend have ended level (Udinese 1-1 Como).

Malen and Dybala to DAZN

Dybala, on handing Malen the match ball: “I brought him the ball because he scored three goals and he deserves it.”

Malen: “I’m blessed to play with a teammate like that, who understands all my movements and allows me to score goals.”

Dybala, on his summer: “I was really eager to play because I hadn’t been able to during the holidays. The people here are incredible, the desire to stay was always there, there were no doubts. That’s why I gave everything for my teammates.”

Malen, on the World Cup: “The past is the past, the season has started and I’m very happy to be here. I don’t know how many goals I’ll score, I don’t want to put a number on it.”

Dybala, on Argentina teammate Mastantuono, now at Fiorentina: “I saw Mastantuono during the holidays in Argentina as well. He’s a very young lad but he has great quality. I wish him all the best in Serie A.”
