Here’s how all of the latest results in Italy’s top flight unfolded.

Roma prevail in top-of-the-table clash

Roma moved six points clear at the top of the standings with a 1-0 victory over title rivals Inter.

Evelyne Viens scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute. The striker tapped in from a rebound after Cecilía Rán Rúnarsdóttir parried Giulia Dragoni’s driven strike.

Inter ultimately tried and failed in their quest to find an equaliser, with the result representing their first Serie A defeat since losing 1-0 to Napoli in November. As for Roma, Viens’s second league goal of the season extended her team’s unbeaten league run to 10 matches.

Juventus drop two precious points

Juventus’ hopes of retaining the Serie A title suffered a major blow away to Ternana on Sunday. The visitors looked set to enjoy a comfortable outing after establishing a two-goal lead. Abi Brighton opened the scoring with a stunning strike from outside the box. Ana Capeta then added a second after racing onto Viola Calligaris’s inch-perfect through ball.

However, Ternana were presented with a lifeline when Tatiana Pinto gave away a penalty in the closing stages of the first half. The experienced Valeria Pirone stepped up to blast her penalty down the middle of the goal.

The visitors kept hold of their narrow lead until Giada Pellegrino levelled the scoreline in the 77th minute. The Roma loanee expertly controlled a high ball before she squeezed it beyond Juve goalkeeper Larissa Rusek. Ternana are now four points clear of danger, while Juventus are eight points adrift of the summit. The reigning champions will also be looking over their shoulder at the likes of Napoli, Lazio and Fiorentina, who will all be harbouring hopes of snatching a top three finish.

Fiorentina see off Sassuolo

All five goals in Fiorentina’s thrilling win over Sassuolo arrived in the second period. Emma Severini required less than a minute of the second half to produce a deft flick from Emilie Woldvik’s low cross to open the scoring in style. Naomi Eto headed Sassuolo level, only for Sofia Bredgaard to quickly restore the home side’s slender advantage.

Severini was then presented with the chance to grab her second and Fiorentina’s third after Madelen Janogy was fouled by goalkeeper Solene Durand. The midfielder stroked the ball home from the penalty spot to take her tally to five league goals for the season. Former Fiorentina forward Daniela Sabatino pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in stoppage time, but it ultimately proved too little too late for Sassuolo.

Karczewska rescues point

Lazio broke the deadlock just after the half-hour mark in their home meeting with AC Milan. A slick attacking move culminated with Clarisse Le Bihan cleverly working the space to fire a reverse shot into the bottom corner. Trailing at the break, Milan fought back to score two goals within 20 minutes of the restart. Ewelina Kamczyk levelled with her first goal for the club, before Angelica Soffia guided the ball home from Marta Mascarello’s whipped cross.

However, Milan’s hopes of a victory were quashed by their former striker Nikola Karczewska. The Poland international slid the ball into the awaiting net after being teed up by Elisabetta Oliviero.

Como claim narrow win on Serie A match-day 15

Liucija Vaitukaitytė scored the decisive goal in Como’s 1-0 away win over Genoa at the weekend. The 25-year-old headed in from a deep corner to score her first league goal since joining the club in 2023. As for Genoa, the defeat leaves them rooted to the bottom of the table with seven games left to play.
