Inter Milan are in a race against time to secure Carlos Augusto, with the Brazil defender yet to agree a new contract despite the club’s eagerness to tie him down ahead of a summer in which multiple clubs are circling.

According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, via FCInter1908, the situation is clear, Inter want to move quickly, but a deal is not yet close.

“Inter are in negotiations with Carlos Augusto for a renewal and have verbally offered him a salary increase to around €3 million net per season,” Moretto confirmed.

“But today there is no agreement, no basis of understanding between the parties.”
