Serie A round-up: Venezia land Halhal, Frosinone add Akpoguma, Monza sign Akinsanmiro, Fiorentina release Sabiri | OneFootball

Serie A registered four confirmed deals today. Venezia signed Morocco defender Redouane Halhal, Frosinone added Kevin Akpoguma, Monza took Ebeneezer Akinsanmiro from Inter on loan, while Fiorentina released Abdelhamid Sabiri.

With the summer window into its final four weeks, Venezia moved swiftly for Halhal from KV Mechelen. Sky Sport Italia reports a €5m fixed fee plus add-ons.

He arrived in Italy last night, completed a medical today, and agreed a contract running to June 2030.

Newly promoted Frosinone signed former Hoffenheim defender Akpoguma as a free agent on a deal to June 2028. The 31-year-old is comfortable across the back line and has eight senior caps for Nigeria after representing Germany at youth level.

Monza have completed a loan for Akinsanmiro with an option to buy for €7.5m, which can become an obligation if certain conditions are met. Inter retain a 10 per cent share of any future sale.

Fiorentina let Sabiri join Eyupspor in Türkiye on a free transfer after spells on loan at Sampdoria, Al-Fayha, Ajman Club and Al-Taawoun. Signed for €2.5m in January 2023, he did not make a competitive appearance for the club.
