Seven managers sacked in seven Brasileirão rounds, see the changes

The Brazilian Championship of 2026 started with an intense pace of changes in the teams' management. The seventh round hasn't even finished, and there have already been seven coaching changes. Seven clubs began the competition with one coach and, even before the tournament advanced to its first third, had to resort to a new name for the position.

The most recent case is Santos. The Peixe's board decided to dismiss the Argentine Juan Pablo Vojvoda after the 2-1 defeat to Internacional last Wednesday at Vila Belmiro. The club acted quickly in the market and has already announced the replacement: Cuca.

Recently, Cruzeiro also dismissed its coach. The Raposa fired Tite after a 3-3 draw with Vasco at Mineirão. The favorite to take the position is the Portuguese Arthur Jorge, but he has not yet been officially appointed.

Even the runner-up of the Brasileirão joined the coaching carousel. São Paulo dismissed coach Hernán Crespo before the fifth round. In this case, the problems went beyond the results. Among the main reasons for the decision to dismiss the Argentine coach were a poor relationship with the squad and demands on the board.

The Flamengo, the current Brazilian champion, also surprised by dismissing Filipe Luís at the beginning of March. To replace him, the club chose the Portuguese Leonardo Jardim, former Cruzeiro coach.
