Seven Premier League players named in France squad

Didier Deschamps has named seven Premier League-based players in his France squad for March’s international break.
France face Brazil and Colombia in friendly fixtures later this month as preparations continue for the 2026 World Cup.
Les Bleus will travel to the tournament among the favourites, having reached each of the last two World Cup finals. Included in Deschamps’ squad for the final international break before the World Cup are a raft of Premier League faces.
Liverpool duo Ibrahima Konate and Hugo Ekitike are both involved, while Arsenal’s William Saliba, Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto and Aston Villa’s Lucas Digne join Konate among the defensive group.
Further forward, Manchester City midfielder Rayan Cherki and Spurs striker Randal Kolo Muani are both involved. There’s no place for Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta in the group.
Goalkeepers: Lucas Chevalier, Mike Maignan, Brice Samba.
Defenders: Malo Gusto, Lucas Hernandez, Theo Hernandez, Ibrahima Konate, William Saliba, Lucas Digne, Dayot Upamecano, Pierre Kalulu.
Midfielders: Adrien Rabiot, Eduardo Camavinga, N’Golo Kante, Aurelien Tchouameni, Manu Kone, Warren Zaire-Emery.
Forwards: Kylian Mbappe, Michael Olise, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Randal Kolo Muani, Rayan Cherki, Hugo Ekitike, Marcus Thuram, Maghnes Akliouche.
