Sevilla are preparing a major reset of their attack, with Akor Adams a potential sale to ease finances and Rafa Mir lined up for departure to trim the wage bill. Adams is the team’s leading goal threat.
Zona Mixta reports that Adams has reached a full agreement with Venezia until June 2030. He was absent from pre-season day one on Monday 6 July due to extra rest days, although his desire to move to Italy could mean he does not rejoin the group.
Any move still depends on a deal between the clubs. Venezia’s opening approach of €10m was deemed insufficient, with Sevilla valuing him at €15m after a season of 10 goals and 4 assists. Alongside Rubén Vargas, he is among their biggest assets, and while funds are needed urgently, the club do not intend to sell below value.
Mir’s situation is the reverse. He has been kept apart from the group and did not train in the first pre-season session. Sevilla’s sporting leadership are prioritising his exit after his loan at Elche, with one year left on his contract.
They want a swift resolution due to his high salary and a level of performance that no longer convinced. Complicating matters, he has received a first-instance sentence of eight and a half years in prison for sexual assault and injuries. That has effectively ended his time at the club and makes a move harder to secure.
