Sevilla C have been relegated, confirming a second demotion for the club amid a wider sporting and institutional crisis.

According to Superdeporte, the second reserve side drew with Atlético Central on the final day, a result that drops them from Tercera RFEF to División de Honor Senior. The first team are clinging to Liga EA Sports after two consecutive wins.

Days earlier, Sevilla Atlético were relegated from Primera RFEF, making this the club’s second drop in quick succession.

David Arteaga’s team faced opponents chasing promotion and the stakes were high, so the match was fiercely contested.

A stoppage-time goal by UD Tomares prevented Sevilla C from finishing 15th, a position that could keep a side up if the group’s play-off representative wins promotion to Segunda Federación.

This is the first relegation for Sevilla’s second reserve team since their creation in 2003.
