According to La Colina De Nervion, Sevilla have sounded out Levante captain Pablo Martínez, who will be out of contract on one July, to understand his demands, though no bid has been made and any deal would take time.

The club are targeting low-cost additions in line with strict financial controls, with free transfers prioritised. Martínez is a profile widely admired inside Sevilla, but for now talks remain at a preliminary stage.

The 28-year-old will end a seven-season spell at Levante after being told he will not receive a new deal. From one July he will be a free agent. Several foreign clubs are interested, but his preference is to continue in Spain's top flight.

Sevilla's recent business has followed the same path, with arrivals as free agents. The signings of Juan Iglesias and Arouna Sanganté were moved forward under former sporting director Antonio Cordón, while Jon Guridi joined swiftly on José Ignacio Navarro's initiative with the approval of Luis García Plaza, his former coach at Deportivo Alavés. Martínez fits those criteria.

The recruitment drive continues, with a goalkeeper and a centre-forward listed as priorities. Outgoings will be key to funding, with the club studying potential sales of Akor Adams, Vargas and Kike Salas, seen as the players who could raise the most funds.
