Flights to Seville and accommodation in the Andalusian capital have doubled in price ahead of the Copa del Rey final, provisionally set for Saturday 18 April at La Cartuja.
Surging demand is hitting routes from central and northern Spain, and the city’s stays. On Madrid-Seville, average airfares are up 155 euros, a 66% rise on any other April weekend.
Bilbao-Seville has climbed by 115 euros, 45% higher than typical dates. Barcelona-Seville remains broadly stable. Rail operators, both RENFE and private, have kept base fares steady, though seat availability is expected to tighten nearer the game.
Hotels and holiday rentals show the steepest increases. EFE reports that a one-night stay now averages 622.75 euros, up 62% on the immediately preceding weekend.
Two-night stays average 997.16 euros, a 57% rise. On the pitch, Real Sociedad won 1-0 at Athletic at San Mamés, while Atlético Madrid beat Barcelona 4-0 at home in the semi-final first legs.
The return legs in early March will decide which fanbases head to Seville. The 18 April date remains dependent on Betis’s Europa League progress, with home matches at La Cartuja during work at Benito Villamarín. A Betis run to the quarter-finals could force a reschedule if it clashes with the final.
