Leicester City defender has been linked with a move away this summer with Sheffield United, Stoke City, and Wrexham reportedly interested
Leicester City's summer rebuild is well underway following their return to the third tier for just the second time in their history, as new head coach Russell Martin must strike the right balance between additions and departures at the King Power Stadium.
Indeed, Leicester's summer rebuild is underway, with the Foxes having now confirmed the additions of both Conor Chaplin and Alex McCarthy, following their releases from Ipswich Town and Southampton, respectively.
Their proposed move for another former Saints striker and recent Sheffield United departure, Danny Ings, has seemingly fallen through, as the club turn their attentions to other targets up top.
Meanwhile, Jeremy Monga's £12.5 million move to Manchester City will be a welcome influx of money, whilst other star winger Abdul Fatawu is expected to depart sooner rather than later, with both Everton and Ipswich interested in the Ghanaian international.
However, Fatawu is not the only Leicester star attracting interest this summer, with a towering defender looking to be on his way back to the Championship.

With the likes of Ricardo Pereira, Jamaal Lascelles, Jordan James, Aaron Ramsey, and Patson Daka having left the club upon the expiry of their contracts and loan deals, Leicester will need to undergo a big rebuild this summer.
Jannik Vestergaard's contract has been mutually terminated recently; Ben Nelson has attracted interest from Torino, Borussia Monchengladbach, Manchester United, and West Ham United, whilst Wout Faes' future is up in the air, with the Foxes' defensive options under turbulence.
That doesn't appear to be disappearing anytime soon, either, as, according to Brazilian journalist Pablo Oliveira via X, Australian international Harry Souttar is expected to leave the club this summer, with each of Sheffield United, Stoke City, and Wrexham interested.
Souttar, 27, recently represented and captained Australia at the recent World Cup in North America, helping to guide the Socceroos out of the group stages before being knocked out by Egypt in the Round of 32, where he missed a penalty in the shootout.
Prior to that, the towering defender had struggled with injuries over the past 18 months, making just five appearances for the Foxes in the last three seasons, having joined the club in January 2023 from Stoke for around £15 million.
A loan spell with Sheffield United in the first half of the 2024/25 campaign yielded 21 league appearances before sustaining a ruptured Achilles tendon, keeping him in the treatment room for much of his spell with the Foxes.
Now, having made just 18 appearances for the club in three-and-a-half years, he could be on his way back to the second tier this summer, as Leicester continue to try and raise funds.
Under contract until the summer of 2028, the Foxes will be looking to recoup as much of the £15 million fee as they can for the Aussie, with each of Sheffield United, Stoke, and Wrexham lurking.
He is still highly regarded by both supporters of the Blades and the Potters from his time there, as Wrexham look to get in on the action as Phil Parkinson continues to strengthen the Welsh outfit.
It seems, in any case, that Souttar won't be a Fox by the time their opening day trip to Notts County rolls around, though where his next destination will be remains up for debate.

As Martin prepares his Leicester squad for next season, decisions regarding key personnel must still be made, including Souttar.
Though the Scottish head coach has preferred to dominate possession and play out from the back, something Souttar isn't exactly best known for, he would surely love for the 27-year-old to stick around in the third tier.
However, he will be more than aware of the situation the club finds itself in, and should an acceptable offer arrive for the Aussie, they must accept.
New defenders will be needed in this instance, as Leicester hope that either one of Sheffield United, Stoke, or Wrexham can hand them a handsome fee for his services this summer to help to fund their rebuild.
