Sheffield Wednesday are looking at Newcastle United and Bradford City starlets Matty Taylor and Joel Martin
Sheffield Wednesday already have one eye on the summer transfer market, even though David Storch is yet to complete his Owls takeover.
The Hillsborough outfit remain in administration, while Storch is now undergoing the EFL's Owners' and Directors' Test, a vital step in the takeover process.
Wednesday were beaten 2-0 by Ipswich Town on Saturday, but will hope to earn just their second victory of the Championship campaign when they travel to Hull City this weekend.
However, the Owls are far more focused on preparing for next season's League One campaign, having been relegated to the third tier following a defeat to local rivals Sheffield United last month amid points deductions.

Wednesday are currently set to begin next season on -15 points, as Storch's bid fell below the amount required to pay the creditors 25p in the pound.
Meanwhile, the American previously told BBC Radio Sheffield that he wants his takeover completed by 'very early May' to ensure that the Owls can be active once the summer transfer window opens in June.
Both of the last two windows have been very difficult for the South Yorkshire outfit, who lost several key players last summer, when former owner Dejphon Chansiri failed to pay player and staff wages on time.
Wednesday legend Barry Bannan subsequently joined Millwall in the winter transfer window.
In more positive news for the Owls, though, the Sheffield Star have revealed that Bradford City youngster Joel Martin and Newcastle United starlet Matty Taylor have been on trial with the Hillsborough club's academy.
Both Martin and Taylor are midfielders.
The Bradford man has featured for the Bantams in the FA Youth Cup this term, whereas Taylor has represented the Magpies in the Under-18 Premier League and the UEFA Youth League.
According to the Sheffield Star, the Owls are set to witness plenty of academy exits by the end of June, so Wednesday staff are eager to add to their ranks.
Meanwhile, Wednesday's weekly wages are set to be capped at £7k per player next term, so first-team minutes could be on the cards for the likes of Martin and Taylor in League One.
If Storch completes his takeover within the timeframe he wants, Henrik Pedersen's side will be able to strengthen both their senior and youth squads.
The American will only be subject to the EFL's Owners' and Directors' Test if he completes his takeover by May, but if the process extends into the fifth month of the year, he will be assessed by the Independent Football Regulator too.

The Owls have suffered years of hardship under Chansiri, who ultimately drove them to administration and to a miserable relegation to League One.
Meanwhile, Storch's status as preferred bidder has handed everyone associated with Wednesday tangible light at the end of the tunnel.
Chansiri was particularly neglectful of the South Yorkshire club's youth academy, so the fact that they are already eyeing youngsters ahead of Storch's takeover bodes well for a more positive future.
Taylor's youth football credentials with Newcastle suggest that he is a talented player and should be a real asset for the Owls in the years to come if they acquire his services ahead of next term.
