La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Monday been afforded some altogether timely positive news on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that key midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni is back in group training alongside the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

France international Tchouaméni has for his part been sidelined since early last month.

As much comes owing to an ankle injury suffered en route to Real Madrid’s Champions League defeat at the hands of AC Milan.

Real have since seen out a quartet of fixtures sans the services of their engine room star, managing three wins and a defeat along the way.

With Eduardo Camavinga having been condemned to a spell on the sidelines last week, too, all of a Blancos persuasion will in turn no doubt be relieved to hear of Tchouaméni closing on his return to the pitch.

As confirmed by a whole host of sources, the former AS Monaco standout on Monday rejoined group activities at Valdebebas.

The expectation, in turn, is that Tchouaméni will be available for selection for Real Madrid’s La Liga trip to Athletic Club on Wednesday night.
