According to The Athletic, a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain was never an option for Mohamed Salah (32) as his contract neared its expiry. The Liverpool forward has now extended his stay at Anfield for a further two years by signing a new contract until 2027.
As time went on, speculation grew that the 32-year-old would be leaving Merseyside at the end of the current season. Salah was long linked with a potential transfer to the Saudi Pro League. However, in more recent times, the Ligue 1 champions were considered as an option for the Egypt captain.
The Athletic reports that the Liverpool attacker was never considering a potential move to PSG. The MLS appeared to be a more likely option for the former Chelsea winger, with his agent intrigued by the prospect of playing in the US. Nevertheless, Salah now has no intention of going anywhere after making a further commitment to the Premier League leaders for at least another two seasons.
