After what has been an enthralling first half of football at New York New Jersey Stadium, it's all square between Brazil and Morocco on Saturday.
But, after a stunning opener from the Moroccans, Carlo Ancelotti's side needed someone to step up... and VinĂcius JĂșnior did just that.
The Real Madrid superstar cut inside, glided past his defender, and sent a powerful, curling effort into the top-right corner.
It is just his 10th goal for Brazil on his 50th cap.
However, it spite of his underwhelming goal return for the national team, the 25-year-old has a habit of performing on the biggest stage, with four goal contributions in five World Cup matches.
Amid a flurry of criticism surrounding his performances for both club and country, this could be just what Vini Jr. needs to kickstart a standout World Cup campaign.
So, will this be his and Brazil's tournament? Let us know in the comments!
