Simeone responds to Arsenal interest in Atletico Madrid star Alvarez | OneFootball

Diego Simeone insists he is “not concerned” about interest in his star striker Julian Alvarez.

Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on the Argentine forward, who will come up against the Gunners on Wednesday night in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.

Simeone admits there is interest in Alvarez, who has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season, but says he is not worried about it.

“I’m not in Julian Alvarez’s head so I suppose it’s just normal,” he said ahead of the clash with Arsenal

“He’s an extraordinary player. There’s interest from Arsenal, PSG, Barcelona, other teams, but this is nothing we’re concerned about.”
