Sion Oppong loaned to FC Stockholm

The young Ghanaian forward Sion Oppong (17 years old) is temporarily leaving Brommapojkarna.

Having not made any appearances in the Allsvenskan since signing his first professional contract last winter, he is being loaned out to FC Stockholm, a team currently near the top of the Ettan Norra standings.

On the club’s website, Oppong explained his decision:

I chose FC because it’s an exciting project with very good players and coaches. I hope I can contribute points and showcase my attacking qualities.

For his part, coach Rikard Norling was enthusiastic about the chance to work with the young talent:

Sion is an ambitious, humble and hardworking player. He already has great qualities and we are convinced he can become an excellent footballer.

This loan spell is expected to give Oppong valuable experience and help him take the next step in his development.
