Siviero set for one-match stint before Martín Demichelis takes charge | OneFootball

Gustavo Siviero will oversee Mallorca for one match today, a hello and goodbye before returning to the B team, with Martín Demichelis arriving to the Son Moix dugout to take charge. According to AS, Demichelis will be in the stands and is set to take the reins of the first team on a permanent basis from tomorrow.

The Mallorca B coach has had only three days of training and now has 90 minutes to try to leave his mark.

Siviero will be the briefest of Mallorca’s interim coaches this century, with Nadal and Llompart the nearest precedents. Before him, Olaizola and Gálvez also stepped in during tough periods.

The most comparable cases were Llompart and Nadal. Both led the side in one match, though Llompart also did so in two fixtures during a single season. In total, Llompart assumed interim control three times.

One spell began with a win, another with a draw against Real Madrid, and he lost only once. Nadal has the best balance, his only game yielded a point and he did not lose.
