Sky Sports report goalkeeper Diant Ramaj and sporting director Ole Book will not be part of Borussia Dortmund’s traveling party to Japan. The Black and Yellows lost to 3. Liga Fortuna Düsseldorf in their last friendly game before their trip to Asia.
Book commented about Dortmund’s interest in adding two attackers after the game, and he will now stay in Germany to push forward in the transfer market. Nico Kovac’s side identified Said El Mala and Konstantinos Karetsas as potential transfer targets ahead of the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Ramaj is not expected to stay at the club with Gregor Kobel and Alexander Meyer expected to hold the number one and two spots in the goalkeeping department once again. The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Heidenheim after a similar stint with Copenhagen.
Ramaj will not be traveling to Japan with Dortmund II shot-stopper Silas Ostrzinski taking his place, according to Sky’s Jesco von Eichmann. BVB are demanding around €7m for the permanent departure of the German-Kosovan.
Dortmund will play friendly games against Cerezo Osaka (July 29th) and FC Tokyo (August 1st) in Japan.
