Rafael Leao could be available for as little as £40 million if he departs AC Milan this summer.

The 43-capped Portugal star is considering pulling the curtains on his San Siro tenure in the coming months after seven years in Italy.

Leao could be a ‘bargain’ coup for teams

Amid reports Leao might be available for such a cut-price fee of £40m, Sky Sports journalist Dougie Critchley has said it’s an ‘incredible potential bargain’.

At only 26, the player has a list of accolades and experience to his name that sets him apart from plenty of his counterparts across the continent, such as being a Scudetto winner and Serie A MVP winner.

Numbers-wise, Leao has previously overseen more prolific goalscoring campaigns than he’s seeing out right now.

He has returned nine goals and three assists in 25 league appearances this term. Last season, he registered only eight goals in 34 matches, but did contribute 10 assists.
